Album Notes

From the banks of the Ohio, Arnett Hollow is paving a new road in the world of acoustic music. The Louisville-based quintet weaves together the sounds of bluegrass, roots, and folk rock creating a sound all their own.
The concept started in the spring of 2006 as a recording project of singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Rodahaffer and banjoist Glenn Miller. The band quickly blossomed to a quintet as the desire for a richer, rounder sound was realized. Percussionist Rob Edwards, fiddle Cheyenne Mize, and bassist/composer Rob Collier fit the part, and Arnett Hollow was born. The band began performing at the Jazz Factory and other various regional venues honing in on their live sound and spending many sleepless nights in the studio arranging and perfecting their adventurous compositions.
All accomplished musicians in their own right, the members of Arnett Hollow have shared stages with such greats as Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Tony Triska, John Cowan, Days of the New, and My Morning Jacket to name a few. With the completion of their debut album, “After the Rain”, the band continues to grow adding new songs to the list and looking forward to a busy year of gigging and starting work on their second album.
