"Almost Speechless" was the 1995 major label debut of Ben Arnold.
It was released on the now defunct Ruffhouse/Columbia Records label.
One of the eastcoasts most exciting song-rock performers, this album was produced and recorded with Barrie Maguire (Wallflowers, Natalie Merchant) and Ian Cross (Urge Overkill, Butcher Brothers right hand man).
It was with this disc Ben toured internationally, played countless clubs, TV appearances and was most positively reviewed all over the US and Europe.
The song "You" was featured on The World Cafe and he recieved widespread airplay nationally.
Until now this has been available only at shows.
His most current indy cd, "In Case I'm Gone Tomorrow" was voted Top 10 DIY disc of 2000 and the song "Everywhere You GO" was voted best singer songwriter "song" by many organizations including NARAS and Just Plain Folk.
"Almost Speechless is a more guitar driven pop record and shows a great insight into this artist's history.
It is a "must have" for fans of the new rock generation of the 1990's.

Going through my Cds looking for something that sounds like music again I found one of my favorites from the Philly days.
What a great cd just packed with sing along songs, music just doesn't sound like this anymore. I always wondered how Ben Arnold hasn't become famous, with all the crap eighties remakes that are out now its refreshing to take a trip back.
Glad to see your hanging in there Ben, keep the faith sometime it just takes awhile.

Super Mix of Sounds, Moods, & Grooves

A delectable concoction of instruments, lyrics, and sounds come together to provide the listener with as an addictive album as there is out there. Not really this or that, rather simply superb; the essence of this album lies in the little things that separate it from the mainstream recycled sound that plagues radio. An excellent addition to any collection, it is a must purchase for someone who claims to really know something about good music. Of course, this is why I merely stumbled upon it. Happy listening!
