I sit here with a heavy heart. After many years of looking for Art I have finally found him, only 2 years too late.
I moved from Edmonton in '83. He was my foreman, supervisor and hero. I surely loved this man. Art put together a band (including son Kelly) and played at my wedding. Pure talent. Of course he wasn't playing too much back then. I will always treasure my time with Art.
After he left Edmonton I lost touch with him. I heard years later that he moved to Kelowna but after many tries I couldn't locate him. I should have known he would be involved with the Metis.
I will always treasure and miss you my Frenchman's Butte friend.

Since my brother passed on in June, 2006, I have his legacy in this wonderful cd. I am proud that he left us his gift of the fiddle and when I  come to cd baby to see what others have said about my dearly departed, I am proud and lonely at the same time. Then I play my cd and listen to the happy lilt of Art's tunes. I feel better to know his music will live on with his cd baby sitters.
