Album Notes

ART COMPOST & THE WORDS MECHANICS is an avant-garde creative ensemble composed of a revolving roster of musicians and poets. On stage they present innovative, interactive performances, inviting local poets and musicians to join in their improvisational jam of poetry, vocal word-play, music and song.
LOVE DEATH & POETRY, their premiere CD, features Denver's best known performance poet, SETH, and includes Andrea Gibson, Denver's ranking slam-poet champion.
Musicians include Bob Peek (guitar), Edward Marshall (bass), Scott Seeber (drums), Ivan Huber (guitar), Zachary Gotlin (keyboards) & Andy O'Leary (bass). Angelina Casola & Tupper Cullum provide additional verbal/vocal support.
The writing on LOVE, DEATH & POETRY is intellect, rich in insight & literary craftmanship. Both SETH and Gibson render powerful performances, their words complimented perfectly by an ensemble of musicians able to convey musically what these poets express verbally.
LOVE, DEATH & POETRY is packed with hard-hitting, sometimes humourous, sometimes poignant, social, lyrical, & political commentary.
