ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
ArtCrime cooks up experimental music with a modal jazz flavor. Each piece transitions from light to dark, calm to crazy or paranoid to revelatory. ArtCrime is a band for people who love music, but it's also a jam band for people who hate jam bands and a jazz ensemble for those who can't stand jazz.

There aren't many groups making music like this. Medeski, Martin and Wood come to mind. Garage a Trois, if you're familiar with them. Michael Durek of PAS likened us to "Pat Metheny meets Grateful Dead and John Zorn"!

All of ArtCrime's music is improvised. Every second. We took the standard charts, the scores, the lyrics, the chord changes you've heard 17 million times and we threw them away! We substituted our ears, our taste and our gut reactions to make music that springs out of this moment in time and no other. This music never existed before and never will again. Catch it while you can!
