Album Notes

Artese N Toad has been performing these songs in their shows for many years. Paul Simon's American Tune usually opens or closes the night, and Willie's Old guitar is now requested at every show.

American Tune was recorded in one take with an array of 70's vintage microphones and equalizers by Daoud Shaw at Radioactive Productions. Chuck Anderson plays nylon guitar, Toad acoustic guitar, Artese sings. Willie's was recorded during the sessions for "They Don't Write Songs About Trains." Bob Tangrea plays mandolin, Michael Radcliffe Bass and Daoud Shaw drums.

Both songs feature great acoustic guitar work and the duo's trademark harmony appears on Willie's Old Guitar. Willie's is a true story written after Willie's performance at the Keswick Theater some nine years ago! Toad wrote the music.

Artese N Toad are performing songwriters. Their widely successful "Train" CD series is in national distribution and sells worldwide at digital music outlets.
