Wonder why Artie, calls himself the Fireman.
Artie went to work for the Hoover Fire Department located in Alabama, December of 1971. And retired In October of 2003. Artie worked with two men that loved to play guitars.
As a child Artie always wanted to play and sing. As his friends played he rekindled his dream to play and write songs.
With that said here Is Artie today doing what he loves, playing and singing his music. Artie moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama in 1985 and commuted back and forth to his job in Hoover every third day, two hundred and sixty miles one way until he met his now beautiful and loving wife, Catherine and retired from firefighting, to pursue his music fulltime.
Artie has played all over this great Country, and on the Alabama coast with some of the best pickers and singers he's ever met. Artie has played, or sat in with and made so many dear friends such as Dennis Gossman, Brent Burns, Ken Smith, Alan Hartzell, George Toller, The late Shine Powell, Larry and Gail Books, Top Hat and Jackie, Johnny Barbato’s, Zack Taylor, John Joiner & Rick Whaley , Cowboy Johnson, Donnie Mills, Patrick Harbison, and so many others.
Artie hopes to see you soon on our wonderful Gulf Coast or somewhere on the road.
May God Bless You Richly
Thanks
