There is alot more to ART PAUL than Have A Peanut Butter Sandwich
author: The Great LukeSki from the Dr Demento radio show
If you haven't heard of ART PAUL SCHLOSSER before,Dr Demento described his work as "outsider music" and other DJs
have compared him to such established funny music artists like Wild Man Fischer,Wesley Willis,Jandek, and even the fictitious cartoon character "Brak".In 2001,ART PAUL made a splash on "the Dr Demento show" with his song "Have A Peanut Butter Sandwich".He certainly got a big reaction from funny music fans and DJs alike, many of them wondering one thing;"Is this guy for real ?" Well I can assure you he is,having run into him as he was performing his unique brand of music next to the capitol building in our mutual hometown of Madison,Wisconsin. His energetic and positive personality shines through in his infectious acoustic guitar & kazoo driven original songs.I picked up his 7 CDs,began corresponding with him about funny music, and even made an appearance on his weekly cable access TV show on WYOU.Art was interested in getting more comedy DJs to play his music, but was not sure how to go about it.I volunteered to take the best tracks from his previous CD releases, and compile them onto one CD to send off to those DJs.ART liked this compilation of his funnier stuff so much that he decided to release it as an official "Best Of ART PAUL"CD,which is what are holding in your hands(Or could be)right now.If the only song by ART PAUL you've heard is "Have A Peanut Butter Sandwich",let me say that there is alot more to ART PAUL than that. His experimental keyboard work is all right, but it pales in comparison to his years of acoustic guitar work.I encourage you to trust me and give this CD a spin,I'm sure you'll find yourself laughing along with ART PAUL very soon.I recommend "Pink Pants"myself. On behalf of ART PAUL SCHLOSSER,thanks for listening and enjoy-The Great LukeSki.Oh and BTW please listen to my radio show on the Internet on Thursday Nights(Where you can hear more of ART PAUL)at http://www.lukeski.com/dementiarevoloution.htm to request your favorite song E-mail me at LukeSki@Juno.com

Once in a lifetime there comes along a musical work so all-encompassing, so overwhelming, so absolutely amazing that one can scarcely speak on the subject. But i'm here to talk about Art Paul's BEST OF CD.
One of the first description I can give you is, "annoying." This is because my family (one wife, one boy aged 4 years and one girl aged 2) are constantly singing or humming some song from this CD. We love it and that annoys some people. That's OK with us.
We first got turned on to Art Paul when we heard "Have a Peanut Butter Sandwich" on MUSIC WITH MOSKOWITZ in the Seattle area. We've never turned back.
Also, Art? My son's favorite song is Pink Pants. He sings it all day long.

Funny, witty, quirky, and not to be judged on track 53
author: Derwood Bowen
Luke Ski picked out 54 great tracks on this CD, and they are all clever, funny, or somehow witty in their own way. This CD is great, and I say do not judge the CD based on Have a Peanut Butter Sandwich. Sure, most people would rather listen to my cat trying to play my keyboard than listen to Have A Peanut Butter Sandwich, but the other 53 are really great, so if you don't have this CD, GO GET IT! NOW!
