Album Notes

“Jaded By Obscurity” is somewhat of a concept album. More so than Art Stucco’s previous release, “T.A.G.”, “Jaded By Obscurity” deals consistently with issues of love vs. money, both in a personal and socio-societal sense. “Modern Love” begins the disc with a heavy jazz folk vibe lamenting, “Modern love, you’re the last to know, everybody says it’s so, modern love”. “Two Of Us” and “Plastic City” certainly follow the theme. Art Stucco writes 13 of 14 songs and co-writes one song with George Curran. Art Stucco plays many of the instruments and does much of the vocals himself. In addition this disc features these fine musicians: John Palmer, drums, percussion. Marty Rifkin, pedal steel. Tim Carmon, piano, hammond organ. Matt Margucci, trumpet, cornet, accordion, vocals. Don Caplan, electric guitar. Ed Tree, electric guitar. Dennis Taylor, electric guitar. Jim Vermilya, tenor saxophone. Nate Kennerly, vocals. And Harley Thompson, vocals. “Jaded By Obscurity” is Produced by Art Stucco, Mixed by Bruce Gigax and Mastered by Dave Collins. Check it out! Also check out Art Stucco’s 1st CD “T.A.G.”.
