My home is in Cowley County, Burden, Kansas. I am 74 years old and happily married for 46 years.I am a self taught guitar player and song writer and have seven children, four boys and three girls. I enjoy the good life of ranching and raising cattle. I love good music, Country, Western and Church Hymns. When I was young I participated in the rodeo and was a Brahma Bull rider.I have also been affiliated with a country band called the Shorty Western Swing Band, with whom I had a great time.I hope you enjoy my music and find peace and inspiration in my songs. I really enjoyed Arvel Beckham's music. It's not an over-produced project and that makes the music endearing. The songs are all faith based and genuine. I truly enjoyed hearing Arvel's style of guitar play on the CD. It's a sound that's not heard much these days. This CD is well-worth the listen and I would recommend "Country Hymns" to anyone who enjoys traditional mid-western Christian music.
