The Medicine Man Strikes Again!

"Drum Voices" is a masterpiece! Both primal and ethereal, this volume paints a stunning portrait of percussion and its many colors. From the funk flavored title track to a flute collaboration ("Syncronicity") that tells us what Debussy might have sounded like were he writing for Alvin Ailey instead of Nijinsky. Moreover, it is doubtful that these sounds could have been recorded more beautifully. From the tribal to the transcendental, these compositions are the product of the most sophisticated of minds and the warmest of spirits.

As I listened to Dr. Scott's CD, I closed my eyes and saw colors of the rainbow. Each arrangement was masterly constructed like a carpenter making a house built for a King. I can't wait for Dr. Scott's next CD.
