The Torturous Delight is Aryn Campbell’s fifth full-length album and is sonically and creatively her most ambitious and successful album to date. It features 13 original tracks that have a full band complete with some sultry sax solos and Dylan-esque harmonica vibes. The subject matter for this album has much to do with her personal journey completing college, beginning an independent musical career and, of course, dealing with the gain, loss and gain again of love and relationships with some very interesting people.
Aryn Campbell began writing music at the age of 15 years old and now she just can’t stop. She’s thus far written, co-produced and released five albums of her own original material. Many describe her style as folk-rock with a flavor of jazz. Not only does she write music but she sings, plays the piano, guitar and is picking up the harmonica! While she was interning at Word Records in Nashville she teamed up with professional producer Drew Cline to release two cutting edge tracks. Aryn is a recent graduate of Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Music and Communication, but now works for the AmeriCorps and focuses more on her music full time by touring around Georgetown, Round Rock and Austin, Texas.
