ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This record is special because it captured exactly what made my Long Wong's acoustic shows so great, the audience. If you were at that show then your on a record! If you had ever been to one of my solo acoustic shows at Long Wong's, then you'll feel right at home. People are connecting with this record on many levels. Even if you've never seen me play, everyone has seen their favorite local artist in their favorite local bar, jam packed with fellow music lovers.
My days of playing solo acoustic shows at Long Wong's really shaped my career. It quickly became about more than just me and my music. It was the connection I had with the audience, and the connection the audience had with each other. I love that people came through the door from every walk of life and for two or three hours nothing on the outside mattered. It was fun to watch people that stumbled in for the first time, and see them look around the room with eyes wide, wondering where the hell they were. That fever grew after I moved to Portland, and now I see that same look on the faces of the musicians I've been touring with every time we leave Phoenix. I've been wonderfully blessed by the people who've connected with my music and have shared it with their friends. This record is everything that I'm about today. It was made for, with the help of, and dedicated to the listeners.

Who cannot relate to Stephen's songs
The connection between Stephen and the crowd captured on this CD highlights the essence of his music. Who cannot relate to an Ashbrook song? Very few artists have the ability to put the human experience into a song that will evoke such vivid emotions from the listener. You are often caught remembering a place, a best bud, or ex-girlfriend when listening to his tunes. You can hear it in the crowd's voices as they sing along. EXCELLENT!!

sounds like first time in person
First heard Stephen by chance, at a small pub in Salem Oregon. His songs tell great stories, and his voice fills a room. This CD takes me back to that night when for myself, I discovered one of the great new singers. Although I guess I didn't discover him cause he was never lost.

Fantastic CD that puts Steven right in your own home. Not just great music, but stories and banter really create the whole Ashbrook experience

One of the greatest
This is one of the greatest, most awesome CDs ever--I have listened to it over and over. This album could not be any better. Love Ashbrook's voice, love the music.

Awesome! Really Captures What Wong's Was About!
This album is definitley one of Stephen's best! He's great live, and his unassuming personality shines through in this record. Though that small club is gone, it's great to hear that its legacy lives on. I've known Steven from the beginning of his career, and this album shows the poet, the hook monster and the growing maturity of this amazing crafstman.

I Sure Liked That A Lot!
I love this album, especially since I only ever caught one of his acoustic shows. Now that he's with the band the crowd remains but the energy is different. This is a more personal album - and I love it! In fact I have listened to it for an entire week straight and I just can't stop!

Excellent acoustic cd A+
This cd is a must have for Stephen Ashbrook fans. It showcases his best qualities as a solo acoustic performer. My only problem with the discs is the fact that the date is listed as being over a span of 2 shows. That tells me that he probably mixed and matched better performances for both shows and personally I would rather have 1 complete show. If you like Navigator then you'll love this double live set.

EVERYTHING THE MAGICAL LONG WONGS THURSDAY HAPPY HOUR WAS!!!
Stephen is an amazing artist, and this CD was everything that made me love his talent. Long Wongs Thursdays used to be my one and only place to be, and we would get there early to be right up front... Stephen, that is the price of fame, getting close is just not that easy any more...., my only complaint, is once at Long Wongs, I forced my rather drunk wife to dance with me to Lullaby on the stage right next to Stephen, and he said, "What is this... the Conan school of dancing???" It was very funny... and it would have made my day and week and month and year to have him relate that tale on the record... but oh well.... it is a selfish complaint..... EXCELLENT ALBUM AND A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE WHO LOVED THE OLD TEMPE MUSIC SCENE!!!!!!!!

A must have CD. Stephen at his best
This CD showcases his talent as a solo acoustic performer. This CD is a must have for your Stephen Ashbrook collection. All of Stepens CDs are wonderful but hearing and seeing him live for an acoustic performance is very enjoying. Thank you Stephen.
