Ashley is simply the best
author: Pieter from Holland
Again Ashley surprises us with a great album. After six or seven previous albums with all great songs and singing, she still makes albums with great enjoyment for all. All kind of songs, rock, country, gospel, a little bit blues even sometimes showing a jazzy side. Even with her voice on hunderds of albums in supporting vocals it is still a joy to hear her solo albums. Ashley keep telling our lord and all of your fans that live is great and keep on the good work.

Cleveland Rocks.....Solid
author: officialsolidrockradio.com
The two-time Grammy winner for Best Rock Gospel Album returns with a collection that showcases her strong vocal prowess and musical muscle. Cleveland’s band is comfortable rockin’ with a classic (a bluesy take on Stevie Wonder’s Higher Ground) and with the introspective (Streams of Mercy). Ashley’s voice is in fine form throughout the CD, harkening a touch of Sarah McLaughlin on The Blessing and Roll Away the Stone (which is not a cover of the Ian Hunter song, as might be assumed). The band puts forth some meaty rock grooves on Satisfied with Drowning, and Ashley matches the band’s passion on the straight-forward and simply titled I Need Jesus. Taken as a whole, the CD provides a fine counterpoint to the slickly produced Christian Pop/Rock that dominates today’s airwaves. There’s a rough edge to the guitars and a knowing grittiness to Cleveland’s voice that will appeal to those that may find much of the current contemporary Christian music a bit antiseptic. Being a Christian these days can be rough and tumble (who said it wouldn’t be?), and Ashley’s musical toughness is an appropriate soundtrack to the times that lie ahead.
