Album Notes

Ash was influenced by the songwriting of the Eurythmics, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Tom Petty and on the live scene by going down the pub to watch Steve Simpson’s Chuck Farley. Formerly of Ronnie Lane,s slim chance, naturally Ash was well pleased when Steve agreed to play mandolin on the album.

Ash’s first solo gig was at the “Mean Fiddler” in Harleseden. A melody maker journalist came back from a couple down the pub and decided to bill Ash as “Ashllos Grigorious”,

Ash spent many years touring with Val Cowell of Bad Influence in the UK and Europe before forming his own band and gaining a following on the London circuit.

Ash received great radio reviews from GLR for a gig at the Grand Theatre Clapham and also played a live acoustic set for GLR, Lucy Longhurst show.
He also received a great review after playing an original set at the “Roadhouse” in Covent Garden last July.

He recently wrote and produced his own album called “Evolver”. The songs are about unity, freedom and love, it’s all positive, the album has received some great reviews in national magazines. The album has also received a lot of airplay from radio Val in France.
Ash wrote around a hundred songs before choosing12 songs for the album.

Ash is currently trying to gain airplay and distribution in the UK for the album, and is planning to record a second album.
