Album Notes (Bio)
Born and raised in the countryside of central Massachusetts, Ashley Jordan is a young singer songwriter who is making her mark with her distinctive vocal and guitar performances. Known for her country “twang” and insightful lyrics, Ashley’s powerful vocals and unique guitar strumming take her listeners along on her journey through life with music that crosses several genres: pop, country, folk, and contemporary.

In January of 2011, Ashley began working on her second CD with producer/musician Don Hooper of Juke Village Recording Studio (Unplugged Records). Ashley and Don have been working together in the studio every week, recording and collaborating . . . and the end result is an original and riveting pop/country album titled “Liquid Words” scheduled for release in Oct, 2011.

Ashley began her singing career back in 2006 by performing locally at open mics and other music events. She soon began performing a solo vocal/guitar act in 2008, and has since continued to perform regularly at venues throughout New England. She completed her first CD titled "Simple Love" (released in February, 2010), with the guidance of producer/musician Steve Rapson at the Solo Performer Studio along with contributions by musicians John Gerard, Kim Jennings, Matt Leavenworth, and Steve Rapson himself!

Ashley's first CD was described as “honest” and “powerful”, and received a great deal of attention. Ashley was featured on the cover of Metronome Magazine, Skope Magazine (“Artists to Watch”), the Worcester Telegram as well as many local papers. Her new CD was also selected as one of Metronome Magazines “Top Pick for May, 2010". In June of 2010, Women of Substance Radio selected two of Ashley’s songs from her new CD to begin airing on their internet Radio station. That same month, Regent Broadcasting (Radiolicious) selected Ashley’s music from her CD as part of their “Elite Artists Series”, awarding her an exclusive radio station of her own for one year plus airplay on their “Jam Session Stations”.

Deanna Collins of NRG Theory Management selected Ashley as their “Artist Pick of the Week” stating that Ashley’s “creative soul brings honesty back to music” and that she “knows who she is and writes her music from her heart; no regularities and clichés . . . her voice will shock you.” She went on to say that Ashley’s "depth, soul and style make her relatable to most everyone; paired with content gives an untouched sound to music.”

Suzy Geers of Pulse Magazine selected Ashley for her “Up & Comer’s section proclaiming that “Ashley Jordan is truly a rising star just about to shine super brightly in the world of music with her combination of musical talent, knack for storytelling, and beyond-her-years professionalism.”

Isaac Davis, Jr. of “Juniors Cave Online Magazine” selected Ashley’s new CD for his music magazine’s “New Music Spotlight” stating that Ashley “...sings with a level of wisdom and maturity” and that listeners can “enjoy each beautiful note that comes from her voice. Add her crafted songwriting into the mixture and Jordan delivers like a true champion.”

Metronome Magazine has selected Ashley as one of the artists for their "TOP TWENTY HIT LIST" for 2010! Editor Brian Owens stated that: "Every year around this time, we take a look back at the things that moved, shaked, shocked and quaked us from the previous year. It's always music related, but there's something a little extra special that catches your eye, tickles your ears and makes you stand up and notice that makes us choose the bands, artists and acts that we do.” . . . "Barely out of her mid-teens, singer-songwriter-guitarist Ashley Joelle Jordan has done more with her life than most folks twice her age. This focused, poised young lady captured our attention with her debut CD, Simple Love, and we proudly featured her on our July 2010 cover. This talented upstart is so determined she's even managed to create her own radio station, www.radiolicious.com. Make sure to check her out."

Stay tuned for the release of Ashley’s second full length album “Liquid Words” in Oct. 2011!
