Album Notes

Audience Reviews:
"...a wonderfully gifted pair with a very special talent for this repertoire." [Dame Donna Petersen, San Francisco Opera]
"...elegant, exciting and stunningly nuanced set of offerings."
"...a memorable performance."
"I was struck by the virtuosity and sheer wonder of what you can do vocally and make it all look easy and joyous.... These songs need to have an audience."

'La Musica Resuena' translates: 'The Music Resounds'; CD insert includes program notes and translations.

Mexican composers are represented by Manuel Ponce's little known song set "Tres Poemas de Mariano Brull" and four beautiful songs by Maria Grever, including three little performed songs from her volume of "Six Songs" published in 1946. Spanish compositions include Rodrigo's complete "Cuatro Madrigales Amatorias" and selections from the songs of Jesus Guridi, Enrique Granados, and Fernando Obradors.
