Album Notes

ASTROBURGER is an everlasting Pop-project driven by don Bingo. In the early days ASTROBURGER were part of an creative underground in Oslo, Norway that included more or less known bands as Turbonegro, the Tables, Anal babes and Kung-fu girls. There were and irregular switching of members and they often made gigs together. Astroburger and the Tables made people smile and sing, then came Turbonegro and Anal babes to break them down! Musical influence is varied from indie-pop groups like Pastels and Television Personalities, Punx , 60s pop and Salvador Dali! ASTROBURGER has made several CDs, !2 " and 7"-EP s. Many favuor the debut CD ´I used to be Mod´ but many like the newer stuff that perhaps is better produced and performed.

When asked by the NME a Teenage Fanclub guitarist was prompted to make a list of his favuorite recordings. He wrote "Take the skinheads bowling" by Camper van Beethoven on the second place but added to the interviewer : I prefer the version made by Astroburger.

REVIEWS

Still a favorite!!
author: Markus Schille
This album from the norwegian Astroburger is still one of my favorite pop/rock CD's. Catchy, and sometimes relatively fast paced tunes and cool low-fi sound. When I was a teenager (around 1995) my friends used to play this CD a lot whenever we had parties and were getting drunk and crazy! :) Now I've finally bought a copy for myself (10 years after) through CD baby (all the way from USA to Norway) Thank you CD baby!! Some of my favorite songs on the CD is #2 If I ever knew you. #3 Snåsa Sentrum #6 Compromise Solutions (especially the Take-on-me by A-ha part) #8 Whipped Cream #15 Relaxed Atmosphere I can also recommend other CD's from Astroburger, like "I used to be mod" and "Stand on it"!
