Album Notes

"This supercool band takes the stage to turn out some of its signature nouveau- bluegrass tunes and a lot of jamming, so tiny dancers can strut their stuff as well" - TimeOut NY Kids

This brand new CD from Astrograss, "Let Me Stay Up All Night", is the band's 1st full-length CD for the kids music market.
However, this is not just a CD for kids. The is music for all ages. From up-tempo bluegrass, to Celtic jigs to newgrass epics to sea shanties to funky acoustic jams, this album has it all. Absurdity and humor are present throughout, as the band tackles subjects such as troubles with homophones, spinach flavored ice cream, corn cooked on a car's dashboard, and Pluto's loss of 'planet' status. Joining the band are special guest vocalists Audra Tsanos and Jennifer Milich (from AudraRox) and guest banjo pickers Adam Buchwald and Jonah Bruno (nyc's finest on the banjo)

For the past 4 years, Astrograss has been performing for young families around the New York City area. Most recently, they've enjoyed playing at the legendary Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival on the Family Stage, performing sold-out shows at Symphony Space, Joe's Pub and Brooklyn Academy of Music's Harvey Theatre, recording with Dan Zanes, and conducting educational programs in area schools.
