AsTroKnoTicS is the brain child of astronaut Jonathan Lancelot (AKA Divinus), formerly of the legendary Florida hardcore band Level Nine. His AsTroKnoTicS project is devoted to space travel, extraterrestrial contact, and the exploration of the universe. In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist and space poet, Jon is a trained spaceship pilot and leads the deep space missions for AsTroKnoTicS.

The music of AsTroKnoTicS is based on the philosophies and techniques discovered exploring the farthest reaches of the galaxy. The sounds and music reflect the vastness of the space/time continuum and the unknowable void. The result is an unpredictable combination of exo-politics, science, astronomy, hip-hop, punk, hardcore, ska, dub, and abstract space poetics. DJ Uncle Eric uses the power and flexibility of space-age electronic music production and cosmic sound manipulation to create the AsTroKnoTicS sound using secret alien scientific methods.

AsTroKnoTicS corporate headquarters are located in Washington DC, in the United States of America. DJ Uncle Eric regularly appears solo, spinning dance music at various night clubs in the DC area. Some have reported attending an AsTroKnoTicS live performance, but these multi-dimensional spectacles appear to occur infrequently and have not been independently verified.
