Album Notes

The sound of Asymptote derives from the collective magickal frequencies conjured up out of the minds of Matt Robison and David Flick. Their debut album Parapolitix is a journey through experimental ideas, dynamic atmospheres, crunching beats, sub dub basslines, and IDM aesthetics. Soothing, brittle textures overlap with white noise bursts, glitchy loop patterns and distorted breakbeats to create an admixture of emotional moodiness and sample-heavy industrial chaos. Snippets of political discourse and dream allegory murmur in the background and bubble up into focus as if directly out of the subconscious mind. Parapolitix is comprised of mostly original material with a couple of remixes from the likes of The Wretch and Phylr.
