ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Power, mystery, and excess channeled through a low-end. It is nailed to the floor by a bass that winds through the melody like a caged animal, drums that signal the presence of a ritual no one expected you to see, and lush guitars with perfectly understated and carefully crafted leads. The vocals are designed to ease you into the dream—right until the nightmare emerges and the shouting begins

From track to track this album reveals the influences that these 4 musicians share. Upon first listen, you may hear strong influences from Echo & the Bunnymen, early The Cure, and Bauhaus. However, after multiple listens, you may hear music more akin to the Stone Roses, INXS, or The Mission UK. Formed in the Spring of 2011 by members of other bands, The JoyRyders and The Visitor, this guitar-driven band strives to create art with each song – hence, the name – Ateliers -- a French word meaning “artists workshop.”
