A Girl of Few Words
author: Gary Martelli
This is a great first album for Julie Atherton. The clarity and expressiveness of the vocals are outstanding. There are overtones of Elaine Paige and Barbra Streisand at times. Instrumental backing is very professional and does not intrude on the vocals at any stage. A thoroughly enjoyable musical experience from a new star.

I saw Julie Atherton first in Fame in London, and then in Avenue Q. She's got a fabulous voice and this album contains a variety of songs that are all great. I'd highly recommend it. It's awesome.
