In May 2006 four friends formed All the King’s Horses. After seeing each other perform in various bands around Saskatoon, they came together to form a group with the intention of featuring their individual strengths.

Shortly after gathering in Christian and Emde’s living room, the band relocated to a rehearsal space in Saskatoon’s central warehouse district. During the next 12 months, writing led to rehearsing, rehearsing led to performing, and to concentrating on the recording of their self-titled EP.

They quickly developed a reputation from their sound and were requested for interviews with local newspapers. In The Star Phoenix Silas Polkinghorne wrote:

"The songs are catchy and danceable – with pulsating post-punk rhythms and piercing riffs – but are also dark and compelling. Frontman Christian’s thin frame hides a robust, potent voice and a detached stage swagger. His singing is sharp and arresting, a fierce touchstone that pulls together the band’s urgent sound."

All the King’s Horses bring energy and intimacy to the stage.
