Atli Örvarsson was born and raised in Iceland. After a successful, award-winning career in rock music in his native Iceland, Atli moved to the U.S. and into a successful career as a composer for film and television, working with Mike Post (Law and Order) and Hans Zimmer (Black Hawk Down, Batman Begins, The DaVinci Code, Pirates of the Caribbean, Angels and Demons) .

Örvarsson’s film credits include: Vantage Point, Babylon AD, Stuart Little 3, Angels & Demons, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Frost/Nixon, etc. His score for The Last Confederate: The Story of Robert Adams earned him the audience award for best score at the Park City Film Music Festival and he is also a six time winner at the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards.

“The Last Confederate” is the incredible true story of Robert Adams, a strong-willed Captain divided by love for the South and love for Eveline McCord, his girl from the North.
“The Last Confederate” was produced and written by the descendents of Robert and Eveline.
Atli Örvarsson’s score evokes the spirit of a long ago, but not forgotten, time. The soundtrack features original music by Atli Örvarsson with vocals by Þórhildur Örvarsdóttir.
