Album Notes

Anybody who knows burrito’s knows that the only place to get a good one in midtown Atlanta in the early eighties was either Tortilla’s or Frijolleros. Frijolleros with there obligatory can of Amour Pork Brain’s on the upper counter was the hole that that numerous Stones influenced band’s that you depended with on your life that they would play Gloria was co-owned by Jay Wiggams.

Jay being no stranger to controversy himself was threatened with arrest for his Blue Rat gallery performance piece called Ripping Apart Small Dead Animals in which animals parts purchased from a butcher himself were to be ripped apart was hindered by some individual whom called the Atlanta Police and SPCA, needless to say Jay opted to cancel this performance. But then again he was also responsible for painting the javelin in to the heart of a Nike runner on the billboard at Peachtree and Piedmont avenues.

So when at the last minute he asked AT Rest to play Frijolleros at the last minute as someone had cancelled it was pretty much a no-brainer. One phone call later and the guerrilla performance was on, only this time the usual suspects were to include Christopher Schwartz on Drums and the inclusion of Ken Schenk (86, Vietnam and many others) and John “Tatterhead” on guitar in there own segment.

Well the rest is History.
