Album Notes

This album began over one and a half years ago. Michael Brenza (producer) and I began recording this album as an acoustic one. After we were done we both agreed that the songs needed some background music to it. We then re-recorded using a metronome and hired Delta State music major Greg Cobb to lay the drums down to it. After the drum tracks were laid down we began to get creative with the album, re-recording guitar tracks, adding leads, and of course hiring a female backup vocalist (Christy Stone Purvis). Michael moved to Memphis halfway through the recording of the album so I made a trek there where we finished the vocal tracks and recorded "Spinning Around" using his cousin Jay Dorman whom Michael was living with at the time. We had a few other songs which were cut from the album but, in my opinion, the replacements were much better songs. I had recently written "Make Me Realize" and let Michael hear it. He suggested we put it on the album but we had no drummer at the time. We ended up using a suitcase and a drum mallot for a kick drum, a box fan and a pencil for percussions and a huge ride cymbal for asthetics. Needles to say it became the title of the album. This album is my first album to include a full band and is by far my best works. However, there will be much more to come in the near future. This is my heart and soul folks.. hope you like it!
