WHO WE ARE
August 7th is Elliot and Jennifer Grossbach. A brother/sister songwriting and performing duo based in the New York City metro area. Their music is piano-based pop/rock reminiscent of Billy Joel, Elton John, Ben Folds, and Train.
ABOUT THE MUSIC
Much of August 7th's music focuses on discovering the uncomfortable realities of adult existence. "Maybe" is about the reluctance of lovers to face that their years-long romance is inexorably dissolving. "The Train" describes the rigors of taking the railroad to work every day, and the numbing realization that the trip might last a lifetime. Other song topics include an emotional tribute to New York, a father's attempt to reconcile with his son, and life as a college undergrad. Each track tells a story with a delicacy and passion rarely heard on commercial radio. August 7th's music is not for the passive listener. Rather, it makes you feel something.

I love this CD and play it all the time. The lead singer's voice is really intense. My favorite song is Hey Susanne! It's so unique. I can't wait to hear these guys play live.
