The first offering from August House, "Tabla Rasa" is a collection of the earliest known recordings the band is said to have done. Released in March of 2006, many of the songs were written and recorded when the band had been together 6 months or less and even at these early stages, the band displays the core talent that has won them national acclaim despite their choice to remain independent.

This CD rocks my socks!

I've listened to this music before on myspace, and just a few songs I listened to got me hooked. I wanted more so I went to their website. I then wanted their CD and many days later I soon got it. I love the music, its so unique and the voices don't sound like some whiny emo band crying because his girlfriend broke up with him. The music isn't something plain and normal that you would hear every day. You probably need to be very open, to like this CD.

I'm not going to use crafty words like, powerful grinding progressions of a rhythmatic guitars accompanying soulful electrifying vocals that move the spirit. No I wouldn’t say that. I'll just say its really f-ing good.

No crap or so-so songs it's ALL good

I caught these guys on a talk radio show Frosty, Heidi and Frank(their Should I Stay or Should I Go segment. . . August House got to Stay). Both songs were so awesome, I just had to get the CD. They pretty much got a uninamious postive vote from the listeners(only 1 idiot didn't like it). Usually, I try and only buy tracks because most CDs have one or two good songs and the rest is crap or not memorable. Not so with August House. I know its good music when I play it in my car and start driving like an a$$ and think I own the road. Definitely recommended for rock lovers.

That is awesome music

Tabla Rasa is configured perfectly, I admit I did not hink that the would lay into the guitar as much as they did but it sounded so perfect the way they did it. This is a must have album for anyone who appreciates rock in general. This album covers so much ground of rock and is very unique, as well as the great studio recordings with their clarity and sound.
