Album Notes

Autonomadic started out in the summer of 2002 in Seattle, Washington, as the brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Justin Ludwig. After recruiting drummer Chad Schultz and bassist Todd Weaver through an ad in a local weekly newspaper, the trio began crafting a sound built primarily upon the music, attitude, and philosophy of the underground indie movement of the 1980's. Drawing from influences such as Social Distortion, The Pixies, Husker Du, Minutemen, Descendants, Rancid, The Clash, and virtually everything released on the SST record label, Autonomadic set out to combine elements of these influences into one dynamic package.

In July 2003, Autonomadic entered Vagrant Studios in Seattle to record a six-song EP, titled "Sterilize The Poor In Spirit". That summer also saw the band venturing further away from their home territory to play shows up and down the West Coast, from Anchorage, Alaska in the north, to San Diego, California in the south. Their travels have taken them to virtually every major city in western North America, including Calgary, Alberta; Edmonton, Alberta; Los Angeles, California; Portland, Oregon; Reno, Nevada; San Fransisco, California; Vancouver, British Columbia; and many smaller towns and cities in between.

"Lies, Fear, and Hate" is the band's first full-length album. Recorded in February 2005 at Vagrant, it includes twenty songs spanning Autonomadic's first three years of existence. The album's sound is darker, thick with 70's-era guitar crunch, but still captures the manic drumming, throbbing bass, and the growling, intense vocals of Autonomadic's signature live shows.
