These two cycles, "II: Conversion" and "III: Continuance", both combined on one album, are forming the keystone of AUTUMN’s "Magenta Emerald" trilogy. This journey into the psyche is orientated to the concept of development novels: Different layers of personalities, emotional worlds and live models are merged in one fictional person, who is developing by the search for sense. While “Part I: Crisis” has been about the creation of the protagonist Magenta Emerald and the description of that fictitious and indefinable north sea island on which she meets Mondrian, the alter ego of the author Morus himself, “Part II: Conversion” describes the protagonist’s independence from the poet’s dreaming. With the materialization of the protagonist Utopia is becoming an unreachable and abstract idea, and caused by this change the worldly problems are arising. While “Conversion” tells of repulsion, isolation and the long way to mutual respect concerning the persons on that fictitious island, “Part III: Continuance” is a musical crystallization of the elements, which result of Magenta Emerald’s search for sense.
A mélange of music theatre and song cycle combining modern, classical and traditional sounds – a journey into the psyche, a collection of poetic soundscapes.
