Album Notes

Heartfelt portrayal of loss, love and life within the warm, energetic, magical sounds of djembe, cello, guitar and voice pouring out an array of emotion to soulseekers young and old. Autumn Eyes definitely pulls you out of whatever rock you are hiding under, reminding you, yes you can get past the tears reaching beyond the pain to explore your hopes and dreams along with your fears. Listening to any one of these songs by Buddy, Eydie and Alex might just give you that little nudge you need to once again get back on track and take a chance on living and loving.

I just got back from Mother's last night. I was there since Friday afternoon. Matt had mailed me the CD "Autumn Eyes" and it was waiting for me on the table when I got home last night. When Matt called about 10:30 last night, I told him that I would listen to it in the morning. He said to me, "Then I guess you aren't in a hurry to listen to it". . . . . . I told him I was tired after doing chores at Grandma's most of the day. In fact, I was lying down in bed getting ready to read the newspaper when he called me. So after talking with Matt, I decided to get out the little portable CD player with earphones and listen to the music while laying in bed relaxing. It was beautiful. I listened to it two times before I decided to retire for the night. It was after midnight when I turned it off. As I am writing to you I am listening to the CD for the 4th time. The lyrics make you sad.......and the background music with Eydie's cello and Alex with the percussionist makes you cry. You hear the sadness in the cello and I have to admit I cried with the music in "Don't Follow The Crowd". The way the music & vocals blended together and came to a climax was beautiful. I have to say that so far that is my favorite song on the CD. The arrangement on the background music I think was beautiful. Now I am listening to it for a 5th time.

Enjoyed hearing the songs over and over again and couldn't help but singalong too. Love listening to the sounds of the djembe cello and guitar and Buddy's singing pulled at my heartstrings.
