Album Notes

Sassy, Classy, Brassy, Jazzy, with flair! Ava's singing touches the heart, caresses the soul, and leaves the listener begging for more.

Ira E. Scott, (producer)April 2001

"Ladies and Gentlemen May I present Ava DuPree." With these words I would introduce our secret weapon on stage every night. Ava can sing the blues, jazz, country, gospel... just about anything, except for punk...but then Ava singing London's Burning? Now there's an idea!

"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present Ava DuPree." Listen and smile.

Nigel Dick,(director, producer, musician)April 2001

I remember the first time I heard Ava sing. I thought as I listened; "She sounds like she is really having fun. "That still sums Ava's singing, and the fun comes through the tracks on this CD. They all have a relaxed, easy and fun feel. Makes you want to sing along. 2001 A.D. reborn? Yes. A renewal of shared fun!

Dr. C. Yvonne Dupree April 2001

Now that's what womanhood sounds like!

I may be a little prejudiced seeing as evava is my lil' sister... However,,, I think I can still maintain some objectivity here...overall the cd is great although Kansas City kinda brought it down a little.Don't Explain (my favorite) was excellent.... Frank Dupree

I REALLY LIKE THIS CD
author: W. Prince Moore
I HAVE KNOWN AVA FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND THIS CD IS AVA. SOMETIMES PLAYFUL. ALWAYS ON THE EDGE. MY FAV-O-RITE IS "KANSAS CITY", MISS DUPREE REALLY BELTS THIS ONE OUT. THE ARRANGEMENT IS OUTSTANDING. MY NUMBER TWO BEST PICK WOULD BE "DON'T EXPLAIN". AVA DUPREE IS A SINGER THAT, LIKE FINE WINE CAN ONLY GET BETTER WITH AGE........YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS AVA DUPREE.
