Album Notes

Touring with the Monkees for the last 3 years, Aviva is one of the most exciting newcomers to the Jazz Sax world. Her personality always adds to the mix and watching Aviva play live is an unforgettable experience. Don't miss out on a chance to hear this girl blow. She's on her way up, up, up!!!

Aviva's album "Reed My Mind" is in the Smooth Jazz format and features her soulful and rhythmic sax sound that is uniquely hers. There are 5 songs with vocals and 5 instrumental. Aviva put together a group of friends to play on this record, such as Gary Brown (Steve Winwood Band), Wayne Avers (The Monkees), David Jenkins (Pablo Cruise), Loralee Christensen & Melisa Kary (Starship), Robin Sylvester, and Producer Kincaid Miller (Marty Balin, KBC Band, Pablo Cruise, The Monkees). She and Kincaid decided on groove oriented, soulfully melodic songs with some vocals. "Secret Love" was one of those songs written by Alex Call (known for writing such songs as 867-5309 for Tommy Tutone and hit songs for Huey Lewis & the News).

Aviva currently is on tour with Davy Jones. For the past three years Aviva has been touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe with The Monkees, appearing on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Access Hollywood, and Miss Teen U.S.A. Before becoming the first girl Monkee, Aviva toured the U.S. and the USSR with Marty Balin (Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship) best known for his hit "Miracles", Big Brother and the Holding Company (Janis Joplin's Band) and more recently, Aviva played sax with Smooth Jazz artist Craig Chaquico, whose last four albums have been in the top ten on the Smooth Jazz charts.
