“I met Christ—for real—as a seven year old child,” says Ashley. She started singing when she was only six years old and began songwriting shortly after. “The songs didn’t start making sense until I was about 13,” she exclaims. “Looking back, I can see how God has really developed me as songwriter.” Ashley has been blessed to sing in churches, in youth groups, on small town stages and on the campus of Liberty University. She met her husband and ministry partner, John, while at Liberty together. God has since expanded her ministry to reach multiple college campuses and churches across the Southeast. “I feel so blessed to be 24 years old and already living my dream. God has granted me everything my heart desired.” “A Sweet Hallelujah” was not the only “new arrival” for Ashley and John in the winter of 2007. Ashley also gave birth to their first precious child, Grace Elizabeth. “Gracie is, hands down, the best Christmas present we have ever received,” Ashley says with a smile.
