I heard one of the songs these guys made on a readio station in London, Uk, of all places, and immediately ordered the CD. By the time I got my hands on it I neither remembered what song I heard nor what it sounded like, all I was left with was a vague sense of anticipation and interest. 

I'll admit it took me a few listens to get into the disk, but once I did, I found a lot to like; they do some very cool things in some very unlikely ways. I imagine the band would take pleasure in conquering another relatively mainstream music fan this way. 

My criticism is just that they don't quite take the melodies far enough in the album. Too often I found myself just setting into a cool beat or interesting idea and suddenly it disappears into some strange spoken-word bit or blast of what sounds like free jazz improv. I don't mean to say that from time to time this can be itself very entertaining (and much of it still is), it's just that I found the experience a little jarring. 

So the verdict from me is this: Enjoyable, refreshing, but I was left wanting a bit too much more. 

Great work guys, I look forward to hearing more.

This album is not only wonderfully original, it references lots of music from classical to retro pop that makes it even more fun to listen to again. And again. Full disclosure: I am related to one of these zany musicians, though he may deny it (at his peril, as he might be in my will).
