Album Notes

Awesome Car Funmaker’s third album is titled “E for Everyone.” ACF claims both title and album are commentaries on the human condition in the arctic Midwestern United States at the beginning of the 21st century. Oscillating between themes of disillusionment with war, religion and love affairs, “E for Everyone” centers on the banality of Midwestern life and the desire to escape. This same desire inundates the lyrics past the borders of the United States, Costa Rica and finally, with ostentatious hyperbole, to Mars.
Song titles “Don’t Try”, “Divided States of the Absurd,” and “Ant County Fair” appear to back up the claim. After listening to E for Everyone, it is apparent that there are more bombastic yet euphonious sonic textures in comparison to ACF’s 2006 release “Of Lovers and Monsters.” However, party anthems like “Break out the Cake,” “Escape or Explode” and “Nasa or CIA” are evidence that ACF has not let go of their punk-dance-rock flavors that their fans have come to expect. Consummate DIY, rock, road-warriors out of Madison, Wisconsin, and ACF has played over 250 shows from Minneapolis to New York since 2003 in various clubs, universities and all ages venues. In 2004, ACF received top Rock Band honors from the Madison Area Music Awards

Off The Wall
author: Jason Krobatsch
I would say this band is a little off the wall, but the music is great. They use some really cool sounds to create the perfect melody. If you like something that is a little off the wall, try it! (The CD is just like the samples.)
