A WISH FOR FIRE is a three piece band with the traditional arrangement playing what they like to call "Romantic Pop". Eclectic influences include everything from blues, to Motown and back to psychedelic rock. With Owen Beane on guitar and vocals, Craig Parker on bass, and W. Thomas Porter on drums, A Wish For Fire takes a minimilist approach to the music, focusing on song structure, varied textures and beauty in simplicity. Each member comes from a different school of musical thought and brings a nuance of their own. Owen and Thomas have played together at first sharing just a stage and then later on sharing a band. Craig, having played everything from Hardcore to funk now shares the same musical aspirations with Owen and Tom. All three members have been in many different musical situations with many different people, and now have brought the sum of all the parts into a whole.
