Album Notes

Ayinde (ahh-yin-day) Howell was born in a small town called Tacoma Washington, bred on vegan food, classic soul and reggae music he currently resides in Seattle where in the year 200 he first touched a mic as a spoken word artist and instantly fell in love with the stage. In 2004 after a few years of growth via Seattle's lively open mic scene and penning producing and performing in two one man "hip hop theater" pieces his metamorphosis was complete. Vivid story telling gave way to intricate song writing and his debut CD was birthed. Ayinde employed what he liked to call the "Bob Marley Method" of good musicianship and creative lyrics mixed with the tried and true formula of hard hitting hip hop beats and punchy hooks and you get something only Seattle could produce
American Hero Vol.1 the My Life In LP.
Offset rhythms and amazing vocal accompaniment round out the listening experience as truly unique. Ayinde Howell owner of what has been dubbed Seattle's "Hip Hop Vegan Cafe" Hillside Quickie's is without a doubt amongst the company of a new breed of hip hop artist emerging from the masses and returning to the music.
American Hero Vol.1 the My Life In LP was conceived by a mind that has scene and heard it all but is heavily influenced by some of the greatest of my our time such innovators as Mos Def, Sade, Nirvana, Nas, Jay-Z, Roberta Flack, Saul Williams, almost everyone who performed @ Liveaid and many more in short this as Ayinde calls it a PostModern-Jiggy- Conscious-Futuristic B-boy-Hip-Hop experience
