His songs are food for the soul when compared to
the traditional plates offered by gangsters, pimps
and drug pushers.

Performing since high school, Azarel has mastered
expressing what he calls “peaceful anger”. The
kind of rage a parent has when a child has been
abused. The kind of sympathy shared with the
victims of hurricane Katrina after the disaster took
place. The kind of revolt a slave desires after
years of oppression.

Azarel’s voice speaks all these things, and now the
world will get to experience what the Northwest has
known for years.
