Composer, arranger, lyricist, poet, author, pianist, singer and music educator. She has a master of music degree education degree as well as a bachelor degree in theory from The Manhattan School of music. She is the Former mentor and High school music teacher of Alicia Keys. In 1997 Aziza was the recipient of the Presidential Scholar Distinguished Teacher award from President Bill Clinton's administration in Washington, DC.

Shelton Becton's designated Keyboard sub for Color Purple on Broadway.
Collaborated with Jazz legend Ahmad Jamal, writing lyrics to four of his recorded compositions- Whisperings, My latin, Picture Perfect and It's only a flower.
Collaborated with Jazz legend Ray Bryant, writing lyrics to his instrumental standard called Cubano Chant. The lyric version is called One fine day.
Aziza continues to write, perform and teach and travel wherever her music takes her.
