Whether as a solo artist or as one half of duo Evangeline (http://evangelinemusic.com), Ian has always enjoyed a reputation as a thoughtful and melodic songwriter and on this album - recorded live with no overdubs and studio trickery - the emphasis is very much on the songs and their strong melodies.
Ian is an acoustic artist and influenced by a number of artists in the folk, country and singer-songwriter genres as well as retaining a love from childhood for Lennon/McCartney.In addition though, songs here have an appeal universal enough to also draw praise from rock and jazz fans.
