Album Notes

At an early age, Crossroad Records’ CEO/Executive Producer, Baby Ben, realized his love for music wasn’t just a hobby he enjoyed in his past time, but more of a passion. From artists like Ice Cube, Face (aka Scarface of the Ghetto Boyz), Baby Ben realized the ability he shared with them to articulate pains and situations throughout his life over beats. Not only was he gifted to write about his past but he also acknowledged his gift of composing and producing the tracks (instrumental beats), but he would express those profound feelings.

With birthrights in both Atlanta Georgia, and Killeen Texas, he then moved to where he currently resides in Austin, Texas. He decided to dedicate his time and efforts to nurture his passion. Baby Ben’s first song “Manifested to be Tested”, was created and released in 1998 on the biggest record label of its genre, Grape Tree Records. It was released on one of its hottest compilations, “Ghetto Drama”, distributed nationwide by Diamante. Two years later, he formed a label called Crossroad Records.

In 2000, Baby Ben worked with various artists who with his executive producing produced the labels first project “Infiltration”. The project gave enlightenment to the infamous producer’s skills to rebuild on something real for the public to grasp in their pursuit to endure life in more than one genre.

Later on in 2001, while promoting the “Infiltration” in Houston, TX, he was introduced to Kamoflauge of Houston’s Third Ward, who shared the same passion. The rest became history as the two joined forces and set out together to give the entire rap game a facelift beginning from the South region where they grew up, to the rest of the world.

From that came “2 of Tha Same”, Crossroad Records’ sophomore project, released in 2006, which displays his strengths as an artist as well as a talented producer. Then came the "The Delivery" released in 2008.

Baby Ben is currently producing artists from Crossroad Records and will be releasing 5 hot new projects in the fall of 2011. Check out Kamoflauge-“Ultimate Sacrifice”, Lance LB Banks-“No Restrictions”, Candice-“One Step Closer”, Jaslynn-“No Ordinary Love” and Baby Ben & Kamoflauge-“Execution Style” due to be released this fall in 2011.
