Baby Boy writes, “My life has not been without a few bumps and unfortunate
choices when I encountered forks in the road. But the obstacles I have
overcome along the way have helped me grow and learn, culminating in the
identity you see before you as Baby Boy.”
His multicultural ethnicity and unusually broad experiences have made his
life journey interesting, to say the least, thus far. Raised in the Midwest and
in Alaska, Baby Boy has been on the receiving end of more than his share of
angry youth. The flip side of that coin are his many fans, often female, and
his ability to use his unique and engaging style to communicate with his
audience. In this way he creates that magical “connection” with is fans that
all artists desire but only of very few of whom actually manifest.
New Lexicon, on the BumbleFunk label, was Baby Boy’s first complete
project. The material in New Lexicon spans the spectrum from deepest heart
felt angst in God No” to sensual anticipation in “Steamy Window” to happy
and playful “Nursery Rhyme”. Producer Eman says, “Working with Baby Boy
is a fun and challenging project on many levels. His skill and lyrical insight
are unprecedented in my experience. He definitely has the “x” factor, this
based on the many girls I have had to remove from the studio during
recording sessions. On the up side, we never lacked for background vocalists!
Honestly, I feel honored to have had the opportunity to watch Baby Boy grow
and overcome some significant difficulties to blossom into the star quality
artist he is today. I look forward continuing our working relationship and
helping him achieve the world wide recognition he deserves.”
Between gigging and his day and night jobs, Baby Boy is working on several
projects including his next CD, and development of new artists like Amanda
T. Keep your eyes on this Baby Boy as he blows up!!
