Album Notes

Back From Ashes, the hard-hitting band from Arizona has unleashed an awe-inspiring brand of metal melding influences such as Slipknot, Ill Nino, Mudvayne, etc. Back From Ashes delivers a potent mix of Progressive, Metal and Rock. With jaw dropping live performances and a sound that is not only unique but enthralling, Back From Ashes pummeled the American and Canadian Radio charts with an astonishing #5 most added on CMJ, one behind Ozzy Osbourne, and #6 on FMQB with 108 adds. They achieved this as an unsigned artist! Their Major press campaign courtesy of Jeff Easton from J2 Publicity has seen them in magazines, webzines and websites all over the world and nationwide college and mainstream radio. Back From Ashes relies solely on the strength of their sound, no million dollar press campaign, no gimmicks, no MTV, no fancy tours; just on ability alone is what has delivered this band to the masses. Their Music Video for the first single (Father Fiction) off their freshman album Broken, was serviced to over 80 regional and Internet Metal programs. For their follow up album Back From Ashes teamed up with Ryan Greene, who has worked with everyone from Patti LaBelle, Megadeth, Tonic, and Mr. Big to Nofx, No Use For a Name and Vayden. Ryan has also engineered for some of the top Songwriters / Producers in the world: Glen Ballard, Diane Warren and Desmond Child, Greene has been around the block. After stepping in the studio with Ryan he quickly took Back From Ashes to the next level. With Ryan’s help Back From Ashes launched their self titled E.P. on February 6th, 2009. This E.P. is powerful and truly ground breaking!

Back From Ashes has created a monster
author: Jeff Easton - Metal-exile.com
Modern rock has been given a major kick in the ass in the form of Back From Ashes. Back From Ashes has dared those lines and created a monster in the form of Broken. Hailing from Phoenix, it is a hard existence but they have persevered to deliver what will go down as a monumental Indy CD from a monumental band. 10 tracks make up their debut CD and they are relentless in their attack and hard to describe. The riffs are brutal but yet commercial and the vocals are what the new Generation needs… I would say Disturbed, Pantera and any of the newer breed band fans would eat this up, period.
