Bad Biscut is one of those bands who\'s original brand of rock & roll is truly timeless. One can envision these guys completely at home in the burgeoning years of punk rock, playing alongside the likes of The Ramones, Runaways, Generation-X or Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars. On the other hand, these tunes could just as easily top the charts of today. Fresh, exciting, irreverent, full of humor and ultimately cool - their songwriting is as crafty as their musicianship. Pegged as \"arena-punk\" by more than a few of their reviewers, they\'ve had the opportunity to wow several arena crowds as the opening act for Joan Jett, The Ramones, and Bon Jovi - and also enjoyed a stint as a fave MTV band, winning their \"Highway to Fame\" contest and receiving considerable airplay. A five star recording!

They were fast and loud on original numbers \"Can\'t Get Rid of You\" and \"Annoying Little Brat\", but they sounded best on their finale: a racy version of the Beatles\' \"I Wanna Hold Your Hand\"

The Jersey Shore-based band Bad Biscut opened the show - It\'s refreshing to see a band oblivious to the alternative rock monolith and they genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves on stage. They have several catchy songs!

Bad Biscut provided another exciting set. The band belongs to the same tradition that has produced such acts as Guns and Roses and Skid Row, but adds something neither of those bands has: a rhythm section that plays with the manic, spring-like propulsion of a band like The Ramones. Coincidentally, the band opened for The Ramones the night before, and paid tribute to the event with a credible cover of the Ramones\' \"Blitzkrig Bop\". The whole set, in fact, had a lot in common with a typical Ramones show: It was fun, bursting with energy, a bit crass and totally lacking in seriousness. If that\'s not a winning formula for a band these days, I don\'t know what is!
