Once described as “a blues band on steroids”, The Badweather Blues Band,(BWB), has had the honor of performing their brand of R&B, blues, funk and soul for audiences for almost the past decade.
Calling the Southern Tier of New York their home, this electrifying act has enjoyed an enthusiastic following that supports their busy schedule of club and concert appearances.
Armed with the powerhouse vocals of Debbie “Hop” Hospie and the soulful rasp of Bob “Sonny Boy” Jenson, vocal melodies soar. Matched with the instrumental dominance of Brian “Goldmember” Golden’s guitar work, and Mike “The Reverend” Melnyk’s crafty keyboard prowess, listeners will be taken to another level of holiness. The sextet is
rounded out by the rhythm section of bassist Tom “The Ringer” Westcott and the funky drummer himself, Steve “The Hurricane” Simmons.
Be sure to check out www.badweatherblues.net to see when and where they will be performing in a venue near you, sign the guestbook and let them know what you think.
The Badweather Blues Band provides music lovers the opportunity to make an event of any night they perform.
In Addition to gracing the main stage at the Chenango County Blues Festival in 2005, The Badweather Blues Band has performed and shared the stage with some of the following acts:
Bernard Allison, Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers,
Hubert Sumlin Roosevelt Dean, Michael Hill’s Blues Mob, Big Al and the Heavyweights, Jerry Portnoy,
Ronnie Baker Brooks, The Fabulous Thunderbirds,
Duke Robillard, Renee Austin, Kenny Neal, Alexis Suter, Oteil and the Peacemakers.
