Bahman Solati is a 46 year old Persian national residing in the United Kingdom. Currently a PhD candidate in Persian Literature at the University of Manchester and also a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) at the department of languages and cultures.
His passion of Persian poetry has always been apparent since his teenage years he has translated and edited a book on Rubaiyyat-e Hakim Omar Khayyam, which was published in Tehran in 2003.
So far he has created three albums first of which is the Rumi album (Poetry of Love).
This album has been created and recorded at the University of Manchester for the School of Arts, Histories and Cultures.
His warm and hunting voice gives a different dimension to the love poems of Rumi which are truly mesmerising, a must for everyone to listen.
