Another Land is my third recording. I had stopped in Austin where I had lived before from 1980-1993, after driving from California to the Northeast, and decided to just go ahead and record it one day when I was checking out a studio. So in most ways it was the simplest recording I've done, all recorded "live", without planning ahead,just me and my guitar. It turned out to be a fun way to do it, and a part of me wanted to keep it simple like that because most of the time when I'm listening to other songwriters that I love, I always prefer to hear them solo. There's something more magical in that for me.
