Coming Back to Life (1998) was my second recording. Suggested listening samples for heartfelt songs: As the sun goes down, You don't have to be strong, I miss you. Suggested fun songs: When I was a flight attendant, Sexiest woman alive.
I spent my first 33 years in Texas where I began to write songs. Most of the songs I had written on Coming Back to Life were from my experiences on the West Coast. At this point in my life I was doing a lot of traveling and playing in California and in Oregon. This recording gave me a boost in several ways. The local station put a few of the songs on rotation and someone e-mailed me from New York City one day saying that they had heard the album on a station there. So this was all new for me. Before this I hadn't really sent my music out there for radio airplay.
Other CD's available on CDBABY, Another Land (solo album) and Everything it Wants, with John Hagen (Lyle Lovett Band)on cello, Rich Brotherton on backup guitar and Paul Pearcy on percussion.

REVIEWS

Great music, soothing, personal and passionate!
author: Marissa
Bonnie's voice is all encompassing. Her delivery is soothing and comforting, like seeing a long lost friend. On this album, she delivers a stunning performance. From the opening track Scat Scat Scat, to the last song Bonnie delivers a wonderful mix of stunningly beautiful songs. The arrangements are simple, with an acoustic guitar and her wonderfully melodic voice. This just adds to the appeal of the songs and their honesty. As the Sun Goes Down is one of my favorites as are Sexiest Woman Alive, Ringer Off Woman, and You Don't Have To Be Strong. Great music with substance from shooing a deer, to finding yourself, to trying to get all sexy for a date. This is what makes this album such a pleasure to listen to. If you like humorous, touching and passionate music, buy this album! you won't be disappointed!.
